News du Jour – Malawian claims Madonna Adopted His Son

Although Madonna’s camp has denied that she was in Malawi to adopt, a Malawian man named Yohame Banda claims Madonna has adopted his 1-year-old son, whose mother died a month after childbirth. Banda says he is happy his son, David, is escaping poverty.
This story is just too sad to make snarky comments, but I will say I would’ve thought a Malawian boy would have a more interesting name. I will also say if this is true, and Madonna has really tried to do this with little or no publicity, she will be on her way to redemption for being such a condescending phony.

Travis Barker claims to be an innocent bystander in the Paris Hilton/Shanna Moakler fiasco. He says he doesn’t know what to make of the feud, “I think Shanna was unfaithful in her relationship and she doesn’t have a right to go after every girl I am friends with after the fact. Be bummed that you were unfaithful. Don’t be bummed that I have moved on.” He also sided with gal pal Paris in an interview at Nicky Hilton’s birthday party at Tangerine Nightclub in Vegas last weekend. Meanwhile, Paris says she intends to file a restraining order on Shanna. I guess that means she intends to see old Trav again.

Cascade Dishwashing Detergent took a poll of who their customers thought were the dirtiest celebs. Guess who takes first place? Britney Spears and Kevin Federline with the Paris and Nicky Hilton pulling a close second. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were voted the cleanest celeb couple with a whopping 69% of the votes! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were a distant second with 9% and pulling up the rear were Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore with a measly 7.5%. I don’t know about that with all those Willis chilren running around their place.

Kathy Najimy Joins Cast of “Numbers”

Kathy Najimy will be joining the cast of NUMBERS. She will have a recurring role as the division chair of the physics, math and astronomy departments at the university where Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz) works. She begins filming next week.
